Each workshop day begins at
9:00 AM and concludes at 12:30 PM
Once a month as above, I’ll be opening my studio to offer the opportunity to explore and work with clay in a hands-on, guided workshop
that is as much about curiosity as it is about making.
In these small group workshops, we’ll slow down and explore clay through intuitive techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building.
This workshop emphasizes tactile engagement with clay as a raw material, where we focus on the thoughtful creation process rather than perfection.
The duplicate sessions offer a welcoming space to experiment, ask questions, and develop your own ideas. Rather than following a set project as a group, each participant will create a personal ceramic piece shaped by their own intentions.
Both functional and entirely sculpural ideas are embraced, keeping in mind a smaller size scale considering the time allowance over the two sessions.
This workshop welcomes makers of all experience levels, from beginners to those revisiting ceramics with a fresh perspective.
It’s an opportunity to connect with clay in a considered way and leave with a piece that reflects both intention and discovery.
All group works are collectively fired and professionally glazed at a later date after the sessions have finished.
Each participant can choose a glaze for their work from my own curated collection, built over eight years of exploring and refining ceramic surfaces.
This allows suitable time for the works to dry out evenly in preparation for these later stages.
Finished works can be picked up at the studio once complete, or shipped for a small fee.
