In this workshop you will created your own individual ceramic lidded box via the use of the slab built technique. Franca Christophersen will guide you through the neccessary steps through a demonstation, and provide insights and recommendations into notable process technicalities.
Each workshop will comprise of a small group of 6 participants at Franca’s own ceramic studio.
The workshop is split over two set evenings classes, with each being 3 hours.

While the design of each box is ultmately up for creative interpretation, the general size should reflect the purpose of containing smaller items such as jewellery / a block of butter / optical glasses.
There will be a choice between two seperate clay types.
Upon the completion of the workshop, each piece will be fired and professionally air-sprayed with glaze to the desired finish you’ve selected from Franca’s archives.
Final pieces are to be picked up at Franca’s studio once they have been fired and finished.
Materials, tools and firing costs are inclusive.
Tea and coffee are provided.
Bring an apron should you have one on hand.
