OVERVIEW
As this will be my final workshop for the year in the studio, I am extending the possibility of form from a ceramic box towards any single object you may like to focus on creating.
CREATE A HAND-BUILT CERAMIC BOX

Group Workshop • Suitable for beginners

Tools and materials provided.
In this workshop you will learn how to create your own ceramic box!
The finished size of the box will reflect the purpose of containing smaller items such as jewellery / a block of butter / optical glasses.
It is encouraged for you to bring along a picture reference of a box or similar object for you’d like to try to recreate. However, there will also be design references for inspiration available to look at in the class.
Making a ceramic pieces from start to finish takes time..
So over the 2 sessions we will be working with the clay in the ”greenware” raw clay stage only.
After the workshop, the pieces are left to slowly dry for a week. Once dry enough, they will be fired twice and glazed to the finish of your choosing from the studio archives.
Finished pieces are to be picked up from the studio the following month. Shipping can also be arranged, or direct delivery on days I am running errands if you live locally.
